How is Chopable different from other food apps?

Chopable specialises in authentic African and Nigerian food, connecting you with restaurants, home chefs, and grocery stores that serve the African community across the United States. You can explore real food and kitchen videos before placing an order, so you always know exactly what you're getting.

Can I order groceries and restaurant food together?

Yes! Chopable allows you to order both African groceries and restaurant food. However, grocery and restaurant orders are fulfilled by separate vendors, so they will arrive in separate deliveries.

Is Chopable available in my city?

Chopable is available across multiple cities in the United States. Enter your delivery address in the app to see which vendors and services are available near you. We are constantly expanding to new areas.

Do I need an account to order?

Yes, you need to create a free Chopable account to place orders. Registration takes less than two minutes and allows you to track orders, save addresses, and view your order history.

Orders & Delivery

How do I track my order?

Once your order is confirmed and a driver is assigned, you can track your delivery in real-time through the Chopable app. You will receive push notifications at each stage — confirmed, preparing, picked up, and delivered.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders can be cancelled before the vendor begins preparing them. Once preparation has started, cancellation may not be possible. To cancel, go to your order details in the app and tap "Cancel Order". Refunds are processed according to our refund policy.

What if my order is incorrect or missing items?

If you receive an incorrect or incomplete order, please contact our support team through the app within 24 hours. We will investigate and arrange a refund or re-delivery as appropriate.

Who delivers my order?

Your order is delivered by independent drivers who are registered on the Chopable platform. All drivers are verified, hold a valid driver's licence, and carry vehicle insurance. You can see your driver's details and track their location in the app once your order is picked up.

Payments & Refunds

What payment methods are supported?

We support credit and debit cards, and digital wallet payments processed securely through Stripe and PayPal. All payment information is encrypted and never stored on our servers.

How do refunds work?

Refunds are issued when a vendor cancels your order, the delivery cannot be completed, an incorrect order was delivered, or there was a technical payment issue. Refunds are processed back to your original payment method and typically take 3–7 business days depending on your bank.

Are there any additional charges?

In addition to the food price set by the vendor, your order total may include a delivery fee, applicable taxes, and an optional driver tip. All charges are clearly shown on the checkout screen before you confirm your order.

Are home chefs verified?

Absolutely. All home chefs on Chopable go through a strict verification process including identity checks, hygiene assessments, and food safety compliance reviews. We only onboard chefs who meet our quality standards.

How do I become a vendor on Chopable?

If you are a restaurant, grocery store, or home chef interested in joining Chopable, visit our vendor registration page and complete the sign-up process. Once your application is reviewed and approved, you can start receiving orders.

What is Chopable's responsibility for food quality?

Chopable acts as an intermediary technology platform. Vendors and home chefs are solely responsible for food preparation, food safety standards, compliance with health regulations, and ingredient accuracy. However, we take quality seriously and investigate all complaints about food standards.
